Cosmetic Fillers and Injectables in Upland, CA
November 9th, 2007
In a previous article, we discussed the increasing popularity of injections used to fill in various lines and wrinkles on the face. To review, the most common areas we inject filler materials is in the nasolabial folds, the marionette lines (around the mouth), and in the tear trough (groove below the bags under our eyes). The common substances we use are: Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse (please see our previous article for a review of the difference between these products).

With the ever-increasing use of these products, the Dr. Robert H. Sorosky and Dr. Edward H. Park have been expanding the use of injections to various other parts of the body. Fillers are now used in other areas of the face such as in the prejowl area – wrinkles around the chin. Dr. Sorosky and Dr. Park have also been using the filler products to restore volume in the cheek to provide a cheek augmentation.
More recently, Dr. Sorosky and Dr. Park have found the use of Restylane or Radiesse in the Inland Empire to be applicable for rhinoplasty patients. Patients who are seeking subtle changes in their nose may be a candidate for “non-surgical” rhinoplasty. For those patients seeking subtle refinements to slight tip asymmetries or to a slight curvature to the bridge of the nose, Restylane or Radiesse is a superb option for to avoid surgical rhinoplasty. Results are attainable within minutes and recovery is not more than a couple days. The procedure is temporary lasting 6 to 12 months or even longer.
Finally, Dr. Sorosky and Dr. Park are now using Radiesse for hand rejuvenation. People who have noticed aging in their hands now have an option to rejuvenate the appearance of their hands. The back of our hands may lose volume over time creating areas of shallowness between the fingers. These areas can now be filled with Radiesse, and can even be combined with a light chemical peel to tighten the skin and remove discolorations on the back of the hand.
Feel free to schedule a consultation with Dr. Sorosky or Dr. Park to learn more details about the use of Restylane, Radiesse, and Juvederm.

Many women have dedicated their lives to raising their beloved children and devoting themselves to their family. Virtually all of your attention is focused on work, family duties, and outside activities. As a result, you have neglected yourself and placed yourself at the bottom of your priorities.
After bearing children, it is extremely difficult to regain your pre-pregnant figure. Some of the post-pregnant effects are stretch marks on the abdomen, laxity of the stomach muscles, or even loose hanging skin below the belly-button. Your small-framed figure still exists, but is disguised underneath the excess skin and fatty tissue. Likewise, the breasts over time have sagged and lost volume after having children and breastfeeding. Sometimes there are saddlebags around the thighs, and even bags under your eyes that may make you appear tired.
After working so hard on your career and your family, it’s time to give yourself the confidence and respect you deserve. You deserve to match your outward appearance with the youthful, attractive person you are deep down inside. The most common procedures performed on mothers after having children are breast lifts (mastopexy) with or without implants and tummy tucks (abdominoplasty). Often times, these two procedures are combined so as to undergo one recovery and one anesthesia. Dr. Park has performed many of these combined procedures, and if the breast only needs to be augmented (with the combined approach), he can place the implants through the abdominoplasty wound to avoid any scars on the breast. Usually daily activity can be resumed after recovering for approximately 2 weeks, but full recovery may take up to 4 to 6 weeks.
The result of a combined breast lift/augmentation and tummy tuck is an overall rejuvenation of the body rewarding the modern woman. Restoring the breast shape via an uplift will fill out clothing better, while the tummy tuck will often result in a decrease in multiple dress sizes. Mothers reward yourself and give yourself the attention and confidence that you rightfully derserve.
