The psychological and physical results that can occur in a woman who undergoes a mastectomy, due to breast cancer, can be devastating. Up until a few years ago there were very few options available to women in the recovery and reconstruction process for their breast following a masectomy.

An upper arm lift brachioplasty in the Inland Empire is a surgical procedure that removes excessive and loose skin and flabby fat from under the arms. Some of the causes of this excessive saggy skin is due to aging, genetics and excessive weight loss. This surgical procedure is usually done under general anesthesia. An incision is required and runs down the underside of the arm in the most inconspicuous location. Some scarring will be visible, however, over time the scar will become almost unnoticable.

After surgery, the upper arms are usually wrapped and placed in an elastic sleeve to reduce the swelling and aid in the healing process. Sutures are usually removed after the first two or three weeks. Most swelling will be gone within three to six months thereafter.
