Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)

First, there may be an excess of skin in both the upper and lower eyelids. Second, fatty deposits may acumulate that cause "baggy" eyelids.

Eyelid surgery can remove the excess skin and fat pads, providing a rested, youthful appearance. An additional procedure may be needed to smooth fine lines or crow's feet surounding the eyes.

Complications are uncommon. No bandages are necessary. Some postsugical swelling or bruising can last from seven to ten days, but makeup can be used after a few days.
