Dr. Alex Cheah began his academic journey at the University of Southern California, where he studied a degree in biochemistry and business and graduated with departmental honors and distinction as a Presidential Scholar. He then earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Following a 5-year general surgery residency at INOVA Fairfax, where he became board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Cheah’s exceptional performance and clinical acumen earned him a spot at the #1 plastic surgery program in the United States – UT Southwestern – where he trained under world-renowned experts in the field of aesthetic surgery, with particular emphasis on facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast and body contouring, liposculpture/fat transfer, device-based therapies, and injectables.
Dr. Alex Cheah has earned multiple awards for clinical excellence, distinguishing himself with a level of precision and expertise that sets him apart in the field. His dedication to advancing his knowledge led him to spend a year at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he conducted research on outcomes in plastic surgery. His findings have been presented at numerous national conferences and published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
