Facial Fillers at Face N Body Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery

Aging naturally leads to volume loss in the face, making it essential to restore lost volume. This can cause skin folds, hollow areas, and deep wrinkles, especially around the cheeks, mouth, and jawline. Dermal fillers are a safe and effective way to restore lost structure and smooth the skin's surface without the need for surgery.

At Face N Body Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery, we offer a wide range of benefits when it comes to our fillers. Our range of fillers, which includes popular options such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Sculptra, is designed to address a variety of concerns and help you achieve a more youthful and refreshed look. Our fillers are designed to deliver subtle, natural-looking outcomes. You'll still look like yourself but with a more youthful and revitalized appearance. Dr. Alex Cheah, our experienced and skilled surgeon, specializes in delivering beautiful, natural-looking results that enhance your features while maintaining your unique identity.

Add Volume Without Surgery

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours. Unlike botulinum toxin, which relaxes muscle activity, injectable fillers physically lift and reshape areas that have deflated or dropped over time.

The most commonly used filler materials include:

  • Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers: Found in Juvederm and Restylane, these gel-like substances, when injected into the skin, provide immediate structure and hydration.
  • Poly-L-lactic acid: The active ingredient in Sculptra®, this type of filler stimulates natural collagen production for gradual, long-lasting results.
  • Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA fillers): Found in other filler products, these help support the skin and deeper connective tissues with longer-lasting structural effects.

Each filler is chosen based on the treatment area, severity of volume loss, and your desired outcome.

Every Injection, Tailored

What is the filler procedure like?

Before treatment begins, your injector will review your goals, assess your facial structure, and recommend the right type and amount of filler for your needs.

A topical numbing cream may be applied for added comfort, although most modern fillers contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort.

When placed correctly, injectable fillers enhance your natural shape without altering your appearance. The product is then injected using a very fine needle or cannula into targeted areas such as the cheeks, lips, jawline, or around the mouth.

The entire dermal filler procedure usually takes about 30–45 minutes. There may be some mild swelling or bruising at the injection sites, but most people return to work or daily activities right after their visit. Results are visible immediately, with continued improvement as any swelling fades over the next few days.

What Concerns Do Dermal Fillers Address?

Injectable dermal fillers are used in both cosmetic dermatology and clinical and aesthetic dermatology settings to address:

  • Smile lines and nasolabial folds
  • Marionette lines and frown lines
  • Sunken cheeks and hollow temples
  • Thin or aging lips
  • Chin and jawline definition
  • Early signs of sagging or volume loss
  • Acne scars or uneven facial contours
  • Scarring after facial fat grafting or dermatologic surgery

If you’ve considered fat grafting or other cosmetic procedures, temporary fillers may be a more flexible starting point to test what you like.

Know Before You Go

Am I a Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

You may be a candidate for soft tissue augmentation if you’re in overall good health, have realistic expectations, and want to improve mild to moderate volume loss, facial wrinkles, or skin folds. Most filler injections are well-tolerated, but you should not receive fillers if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a history of allergic reaction to filler ingredients
  • Have bleeding disorders or certain medical conditions
  • Are prone to keloid scarring or have had prior adverse effects from fillers

We’ll go over the full dermal filler do’s and don’ts during your consultation.

We take every precaution to ensure your safety.

Fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore volume, fill lines, and support structure. Some also stimulate your body’s own collagen over time.

Most HA fillers last 6–12 months. Sculptra®, a poly-L-lactic acid filler, can last up to 2 years by stimulating long-term collagen growth.
